WYSOK
Muchindo Dan Gadings
Dan Gradings took place at The Gallery Gym, Wakefield on Sunday 22nd June 2008 some 2 years since the last Dan grading in the style.
Ruth Pollard achieved 2nd Dan in the toughest style taught in WYSOK.
Muchindo renowned for being both mentally and physically demanding the 1st Dan Grading is bad enough comprising of 24 different techniques, 13 Combinations, 3 Sanbons, 11 Kata, 22 defences from armed and unarmed attackers, 13 minutes of Kumite and Knife fighting a whole host of Arm Locks, Chokes, Bone Dislocations and demonstrate attacking Nerve Pressure points and is a hard, fast style and possibly has the highest drop out rate giving those that reach Black Belt even more reason to celebrate. Muchindo doesn't have a Junior syllabus and therefore both candidates followed the same syllabus. The 2nd Dan syllabus is even more demending and the drop out rate to 2nd Dan is higher still, making Ruths achivement even greater.
Congratulations to the following who achived Nidan.
